Let It Shine Time

We are enjoying our Let It Shine time most days at 1:30. We get to learn about how people around let their light shine. 

Electricity!

We explored electricity this afternoon. Students chose partners and tried to light a lightbulb with a wire and battery. Through trial and error, students made the bulb light up! It was great fun. There were squeals of delight throughout the room. 

Minnesota Zoo Trip

We had a great time at the zoo today. The weather held out and we were able to get to the outside animals along with the inside animals too. Ask your child what animal they will be studying with their big buddy.

Our Prairie Dog Town

Check out our prairie dog town! We had a great time figuring out how to work together in one big fort. What fun!

First day of buddies!

We had a fun time meeting our buddies for the first time this year. We meet at 1:15 on Wednesdays with Alexandra's fifth and sixth grade class. 

Memory

We play a lot of cards. Here the class is playing memory. Ask your child what card games they know.

How do 100 ants march in a row?

According to the story, 100 Hungry Ants, you may walk in a row of 100, 2 rows of 50 or even 10 rows of 10.  We are making the different sets of rows by group. It was a fun activity to stretch our counting as well as working in a group.
